PERCIPIENT – BRUIT ROSE DES VENTS

Le bruit rose est apprécié par un public de plus en plus large pour s'apaiser et favoriser le sommeil. Ce signal généré électroniquement est identifié au son d'une cascade ou d'un torrent, il est utilisé aussi dans les mesures de l'acoustique d'une salle. Le jeu de mot en français, bruit rose des vents, déplace la notion de bruit (ici les sons produits par le bouclage sur elle-même d'une pédale d'effets de guitare dans les 4 premiers morceaux) pour mesurer l'espace d'un paysage. 4 points cardinaux, 4 fragments d'un territoire peut-être habité de créatures fantastiques dont on perçoit les cris ou les grondements et soumis à une météorologie tumultueuse où le vent devient la principale force motrice. Le micro-univers entre l'entrée et la sortie bouclés de la pédale d'effet fait alors écho aux atmosphères de planètes lointaines constituées que de gaz tourbillonnants, d'océans d'hydrogène liquide et de champs magnétiques gigantesques.
Après cette première partie contemplative, la guitare vient se brancher sur le pédale d'effets. Jouer les cordes revient alors à donner une impulsion pour littéralement tailler la route dans les bruits natifs et sortir du circuit fermé. La main modifie le paysage en introduisant le mouvement. 4 directions, 4 voyages dans cet enregistrement de terrain imaginaire.

Pink noise is appreciated by an increasingly large audience to calm down and promote sleep. This electronically generated signal is identified with the sound of a waterfall or a stream, it is also used in the measurements of the acoustics of a room. The pun in French, bruit rose des vents (pink noise of winds / compass rose), moves the notion of noise (here the sounds produced by the looping on itself of a guitar effects pedal) to measure the space of a landscape. 4 cardinal points, 4 areas of a territory perhaps inhabited by fantastic creatures (whose cries or rumblings can be heard) and exposed to a tumultuous meteorology where the wind becomes the main driving force. The micro-universe between the looped entry and exit of the effect pedal then echoes the atmospheres of distant planets made up only of swirling gases, oceans of liquid hydrogen, gigantic magnetic fields. After this first contemplative part, the guitar plugs into the effects pedal. Playing strings gives impetus to cut, hit the road through the native noises and get out of the closed-circuit. The hand modifies the landscape by introducing movement. 4 directions, 4 travels into this imaginary field recording.
